I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and a postgraduate degree specialization in Indigenous trauma and resiliency.

I am a Master’s-level Registered Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, including those who have experienced relationships marked by narcissistic abuse. Whether you are hurting and in need of help to heal and rebuild; or you are looking to develop tools to help you get through life’s difficulties, I am passionate about working with you as a team to help you achieve those goals. I truly believe that within every person, there is a deep well of resilience and the answers for which you are looking. My job is to help you uncover them. Vanessa Angi, MSW, RSW, Clinical Traumatologist (TITC-CT)

I am a Master’s-level Registered Social Workerwith over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, and adults in the mental health field. My practice is rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals reach their goals in ways that feel both meaningful and achievable. I support clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. I am a Bachelor of Social Work student in Lakehead University’s Honours Bachelor of Social Work program in Orillia, with a background in Psychology and Sociology. I am passionate about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where clients feel supported and valued.

As an Outreach & Client Services Assistant at Bay View Therapy Centre, I assist with client care, help the team with administrative and organizational tasks, and contribute to outreach initiatives that connect the centre with the community. I enjoy being part of a collaborative environment where I can learn from experienced practitioners while helping clients and the team have a positive experience.

Outside of my placement, I find balance and inspiration in nature, reading, and cooking—activities that keep me grounded and energized in both my personal and professional life.
