I am a Master’s-level Registered Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. My approach is rooted in a strengths-based perspective, helping individuals reconnect with their inner resilience and uncover the skills and abilities that may have been buried by life’s challenges.

I specialize in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, including those who have experienced relationships marked by narcissistic abuse. I also work with individuals navigating addictions, using a harm-reduction approach that meets people where they are with compassion and respect. My style is warm, supportive, and practical. While I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) serves as the foundation of my practice. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and an Advanced Diploma in Addictions and Community Services Work. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, ADHD, addictions, as well as sex and gender identity issues. I use an integrative approach to therapy to meet the unique needs of each client, drawing on a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Brain Spotting, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based CBT. Prior to transitioning into the field of psychotherapy, I had a distinguished career as an airline captain. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, I bring a deep understanding of system transformation, clinical service delivery, and organizational leadership—both in Ontario and internationally. My career has spanned frontline clinical roles to senior leadership positions across hospital and community settings, with a specialized focus on mental health and addictions.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Law, and a Master’s in Healthcare Policy, Management, and Evaluation with a concentration in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. In addition, I have certifications in Infection Prevention and Control, Risk Management, Trauma-Informed Care, LEAN for Healthcare, and Healthcare Leadership.

What drives my work is a passion for unlocking the potential of teams, building meaningful partnerships, and co-designing sustainable improvements. My consulting work focuses on:
