Ashley Dunn, MSW, RSW, EMDR Clinician
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree and over 20 years of experience supporting adults, children, and youth. Throughout my career, I have helped clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addictions and identity issues. I employ a strengths-based approach in my therapeutic practice, empowering clients to achieve their goals. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and a postgraduate degree specialization in Indigenous trauma and resiliency.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My role is to collaborate with you to help you achieve your therapy goals. Whether you are hurting and in need of help to heal and rebuild; or you are looking to develop tools to help you get through life’s difficulties, I am passionate about working with you as a team to help you achieve those goals. I truly believe that within every person, there is a deep well of resilience and the answers for which you are looking. My job is to help you uncover them. With a Master of Counselling Psychology, and several other training certifications (including Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, Gottman Methods Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy training), I strive to provide a non-judgmental, empathic space to work toward your therapeutic goals

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and an Advanced Diploma in Addictions and Community Services Work. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, ADHD, addictions, as well as sex and gender identity issues. I use an integrative approach to therapy to meet the unique needs of each client, drawing on a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based CBT. Prior to transitioning into the field of psychotherapy, I had a distinguished career as an airline captain. I travelled many countries, immersing myself in diverse cultures and engaging with individuals from varied backgrounds. These experiences have enhanced my understanding of trauma, resilience, and healing which has fostered a culturally sensitive, open-minded, and deeply empathetic approach to my work. I am is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 18 years experience providing mental health support to adults. During my career I have helped clients through addiction, grief, anxiety/depression, trauma and life-transition. I use a strength- based approach to help guide clients to understand their potential. I have post-graduate training in addictions, cognitive behavioral and cognitive processing therapy, solution focused, narrative and couple’s therapy. In my work, I collaborate closely with clients to develop a unique and customized treatment plan that encourages insight and resiliency.
