Elli Khosousi Registered Psychotherapist, M.A.C.P, EMDR Clinician, Brain Spotting Clinician

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an Honours Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I provide therapy through an integrative, client-centred approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual.

I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that is inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive. Before dedicating myself to psychotherapy full-time, I pursued a distinguished career as an airline captain. Travelling extensively around the world allowed me to connect with people from many different cultures and communities, broadening my understanding of the human experience. Through these experiences, I witnessed both the resilience of individuals and the profound impact that adversity, discrimination, and systemic barriers can have on well-being. This perspective inspired my advocacy work supporting survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery and deepened my commitment to helping those facing significant life challenges.

My clinical experience supports working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), childhood adversity, anxiety, depression, OCD, addictions, relationship and family difficulties, self-esteem challenges, stress, and workplace burnout.

My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Parts Work and Ego State Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to support meaningful, lasting change.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and valued. I work collaboratively with clients, moving at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of their readiness for change. Together, we explore challenges, build on existing strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate greater resilience and self-understanding. I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and care as you work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
