Our mission is to provide high quality therapy to help individuals build resiliency, overcome challenges and reach their life goals.

Our services operate under a strengths-based, trauma-informed model. We believe every individual has the power and strength to work through adversities, and our job as therapists is to help individuals acknowledge their strengths, build upon them, and heal to live happy and successful lives.

Our Therapists

Ashley Dunn, MSW, RSW, EMDR Clinician

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree and over 17 years of experience providing support to adults, children and youth. Throughout my career I have helped support clients through a wide range of issues including: anxiety, trauma, addictions, bullying, human trafficking, sexual violence, and depression. I use a strengths based approach to guide my therapeutic interventions and empower clients to reach their goals. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and a postgraduate degree specializing in Indigenous trauma and resiliency.

Rose Muzorewa, Phd., MSW, RSW

I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist and hold a Doctoral in Policy Studies and a Master of Social Work degree. I am  a passionate mental health advocate and have an in-depth understanding of various psychotherapy modalities including trauma Informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. I specialize in treating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and addictions issues. I use a strengths-based approach to work collaboratively with my clients to develop effective treatment plans that enhance resiliency and enables individuals to live rich and fulfilling lives.

Phyllis Vaz, MSW, RSW, EMDR Clinician

I am a Registered Social Worker with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work Degree. I am a highly empathetic individual who is extremely passionate about helping individuals who are seeking support to improve their mental health. I work collaboratively with my clients in creating a path towards their healing. I utilize a strength- based approach, believing that all individuals possess strengths that can be highlighted in every session. The therapeutic modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Mindfulness Based Strategies and Solution Focused Therapy. I have many years of experience supporting survivors of various forms of trauma, incorporating a Trauma Informed and Anti-Oppressive framework within my therapeutic approaches. Some of the issues I have experience supporting individuals with include depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and grief. I will ensure that you feel validated and heard in every session. I look forward to helping you gain tools and resources that can help you with the problem that is currently impacting your life.

Dakota Forman, Registered Psychotherapist, B.A. (Psych), M.A.C.P

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My role is to collaborate with you to help you achieve your therapy goals. Whether you are hurting and in need of help to heal and rebuild; or you are looking to develop tools to help you get through life’s difficulties, I am passionate about working with you as a team to help you achieve those goals. I truly believe that within every person, there is a deep well of resilience and the answers for which you are looking. My job is to help you uncover them. With a Master of Counselling Psychology, and several other training certifications (including Certified Trauma Specialist, Gottman Methods Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy training), I strive to provide a non-judgmental, empathic space to work toward your therapeutic goals

Stephanie Lavega, MSW, RSW

I am a registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree. Over the past 16 years, I have had the pleasure of working with adults, children, youth and families; supporting a wide range of need through individual, family and group therapy sessions. I am down to earth and approach my clients with compassion, a sense of humour and a realistic mindset. I enjoy meeting new people and having the opportunity to work alongside you to help with issues of stress, low mood, anxiety, relationship dynamics and other emotional obstacles that might be interfering with your overall mental health and wellness. I employ a client centred approach that encompasses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TFCBT), narrative therapy, strengths based and solution focus modalities. I look forward to meeting with you, listening and supporting you along your journey.
